SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO (NARRATOR V.O.):

The Irishman: The latest film from Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese.

MARTIN SCORSESE: The scale of the movie is big, but it's intimate. It’s personal.

The director of Mean Streets. Goodfellas. Casino. The Departed.

Scorsese has captured these characters and stories in all their vivid color and chaos… the way no one else has.

And, The Irishman is his biggest picture yet.

SCORSESE: Well we were trying subvert the expectation of the audience in this picture.

Here, the latter half of the 20th century unfolds through the eyes of Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, a small-time grifter who works his way up to become a union leader and a Mafia hitman.

ROBERT DE NIRO: Frank's caught between these two guys who he's indebted to… and has to make a terrible decision.

SCORSESE: He's the in-between man. And it's a great deal of love. And a great deal of trust. And then there's of course, betrayal.

According to Frank, he was the guy that pulled the trigger on Jimmy Hoffa…
